Gregory F. Birney focuses the practice on estate planning and alcoholic beverages licensing matters. The practice also assists with business transactions, step-parent adoptions, and provides consultations on other legal matters.
Within two months of being admitted to the bar, Greg began defending consumers being pursued by debt collectors. Greg now regularly represents consumers who have been sued by debt collectors. Often, while consumers may believe a debt to be legitimate, the debt collector lacks the proper documentation and/or has committed violations of state and federal law that may be used to negotiate a favorable settlement, including the removal of the debt from the consumer’s credit report.
Greg has attended various seminars on solar leasing projects and has assisted with a transaction between a Cecil County landowner and a solar leasing company.
